Discovering Paris for the first time

Be prepared for a shock!




You imagine Paris as in Woody Allen's movie, you risk to be shocked.

Paris is one of thirty more big cities of the world. Its urban zone home to 12 million inhabitants. It is comparable in the whole Illinois. More people live there that in Chicago, or in Honk Kong. As New York or London, it is a very cosmopolitan city. It is also the city which is the most tourist of the world, many passers-by are tourists.

It is logically one of the cities most valued by pickpockets.

Personally, I live and work in Paris for fifteen years, and I've never been a victim.
The police are very vigilant in Paris, do not be surprised if the police warn you.

There are some recommendations for you.

- On the sights, do not wear your bag on your back.
- Do not lose your bags of eyes. A common technique for pickpockets is to contact you with a map (metro or city), or a petition to sign. This is to make you lose your belongings of eyes. Keep the hand above either refuse the dialogue.  


So you will not have disappointments in Paris. Apart from pickpockets, the crime rate is quite low. It is not dangerous to walk along. Especially outside the tourist sites.
You have to walk in search of Paris that you dreamed, because it exists. This blog will try to give you ideas for uncommon tours.
